President and Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Krause was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Enercare in August 2018. She has over 20 years of diverse experience in operations management, strategic planning, information technology, product development, and consulting. Ms. Krause was previously Chief Operating Officer of Home Services, where she launched Enercare Smarter Home, advanced the development of Enercare’s first Smartphone application, and guided her team to its highest ever net rental additions and customer satisfaction scores.
Prior to joining Enercare in February 2016 as Chief Operating Officer of Home Services, Ms. Krause held progressively senior roles at Bell Canada from 2005 to 2016 across numerous business units including residential services, business markets and field operations. During her 11 years at Bell, she led the field roll out of Internet TV product, a $1 billion residential services network deployment, and significantly improved customer and employee satisfaction scores.
Mrs. Krause sits on the board of Young People’s Theatre, and previously served on the board of Northwest Tel and the advisory board of Impact Consulting Group for the Joseph L. Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. She has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Victoria and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto.
President and Chief Operating Officer, Service Experts
Ian McKeen was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of Service Experts in February 2019.
Mr. McKeen joined Service Experts in 1998 and has served in many different capacities and leadership roles with Service Experts prior to his appointment. Mr. McKeen has more than 25 years of experience in the HVAC industry, both with Service Experts and Lennox International. Mr. McKeen has extensive and diverse experience of more than 30 years in the consumer services and building materials industries, including multi-unit operations, sales, merger and acquisitions, procurement, marketing and general management.
Mr. McKeen has a Bachelor of Business Management from Ryerson University of Toronto.
John Piercy was appointed President, Connections in January 2018.He joined Enercare as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Enercare Connections Inc. in June 2016, with the accountability for the executive leadership and management of the sub-metering business.
Mr. Piercy has more than 30 years of experience in the communications industry, holding a number of senior roles in marketing, finance, operations and product development with a variety of Canada's cable and telecommunications industry, including Atria Networks, Mountain Cablevision Ltd. and Allstream.
Most recently, Mr. Piercy held the role of Senior Vice President, Shaw Business with Shaw Communications Inc., where he was responsible for operations, sales, marketing and product development for Shaw’s business customers.
Mr. Piercy has Chaired the Board of two cable industry organizations, and was a past member of the advisory board for N-Dimension Solutions in Markham, Ontario and Dean’s advisory board for Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT).
Mr. Piercy has a Master of Applied Science in Management Science from of Waterloo, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Lowe was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Enercare in June 2018.
Mr. Lowe has more than 18 years of experience in finance. He started his career in public accounting at Ernst and Young and progressed through various finance leadership roles at Rogers Communications, Brookfield Asset Management and most recently Dentalcorp, where he has been the Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Lowe is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of British Columbia and has completed the Program for Leadership Development at the Harvard Business School.
Senior Vice President, IT and Transformation
Ms. Tan was appointed Senior Vice President, IT and Transformation in April 2019. She joined the company in June 2016 as Divisional Vice President of Strategy and Operations.
Ms. Tan has more than 15 years of experience and has held a variety of senior operational and project delivery roles in the healthcare and telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Enercare she was the Vice President of Global Operations for mdBriefcase Group Inc., overseeing operations in Australia, Canada, and the Middle East & Africa. Ms. Tan also spent more than 10 years at Bell Canada, where she held several leadership roles in operation and information technology.
Ms. Tan holds an MBA, with a specialization in IT from McMaster University and Bachelor of Arts from York University.
Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Jeff Schwartz was appointed Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Enercare in March of 2019.
Prior to joining Enercare, Mr. Schwartz held progressively senior roles over an 18-year career with Bell Canada. At Bell, his experience spanned consumer and business units, wireline and wireless businesses and leading a multitude of functions including sales, marketing, business intelligence, product development, go-to-market strategy/execution and marketing communications. Most recently Mr. Schwartz was Vice-President, Bell Dealers and Channel Compensation where he led Bell’s national network of Bell & Virgin Branded Dealer locations.
A passionate, people focused, results-driven leader, Mr. Schwartz has a strong track record building high performing teams.
Mr. Schwartz earned an HBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University and has completed the Leading Change and Organizational Renewal Program at Harvard Business School. He recently completed a six-year term as a Board Director for Crohn’s & Colitis Canada and continues to provide strategic planning, marketing and brand leadership to various committees within the organization.
Vice President, Human Resources
Jon Rebick was appointed Vice President, Human Resources at Enercare in April of 2019.
Before joining Enercare, Mr. Rebick was Vice President of Human Resources at VON Canada where he was accountable for all aspects of human resources including labour relations, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, health and safety, and leadership training and development for a multi-jurisdictional organization with more than 7,000 employees.
Mr. Rebick also held progressively senior roles during a 17-year career with Hydro One Networks where his experience spanned operations, strategic planning, labour relations, and a variety of human resources functions.
An accomplished senior executive with a proven track record of exceeding performance objectives, Mr. Rebick is a natural leader that builds diverse and empowered teams through mentorship, development and promotion.
Mr. Rebick earned a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University and holds a Master of Industrial Relations from the University of Toronto, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University.
Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Service Experts
Ms. Crowe was appointed Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Service Experts in February 2019.
She joined Service Experts in 2013 as General Counsel. She currently has responsibility for legal, human resources, risk management and business development functions at Service Experts in the US and Canada. Ms. Crowe has more than 30 years of experience and has held a variety of leadership positions in technology, food service and service companies. Prior to joining Service Experts, Ms. Crowe was the General Counsel of LSG Sky Chefs, North America. Ms. Crowe also spent more than 10 years in various legal roles at Avnet, Inc. a Fortune 200 global distributor of electronic components and computing systems.
Ms. Crowe holds a Juris Doctor degree from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Arts, with Honors from Kenyon College.
General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Ms. Li was appointed General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Enercare in February 2019. She joined Enercare in January 2011 and has played a key role in supporting the company through multiple acquisitions and growth initiatives.
Prior to joining Enercare, Ms. Li practiced law at Shearman & Sterling LLP in Hong Kong and Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Vancouver, where she advised international and Canadian clients on equity and debt financings, acquisitions, corporate governance and other legal and strategic matters.
Ms. Li has a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of British Columbia and a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.
